点评：Since the owners refuse to call us back, I’ll post here. Two 18yr old girls scheduled a dive, was cancelled due to weather and then rescheduled for this past Monday- delaying their college move in for a day to do this together. They were responsible and called prior to their 1 1/2 hr drive to make sure the weather looks good. The woman on the phone condescendingly said yes, there won’t be a problem going up today.
Once there, we asked again and we’re told with confidence that they would get to dive.
So, they paid over $400 EACH and were told they are each REQUIRED to buy the $121 video??? Wish I could’ve seen this high dollar video, but alas, after taking over $800 from these two girls, the weather “suddenly” turned and though they hoped to “SQUEEZE” them in, it wouldn’t be possible after all.
You guessed it. No dive but they get to keep the money. They said the girls have two years to come back?? Though, my daughter received nothing verifying that.
My thought is this, pilots have access to high powered weather radar and I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt that they regularly check radar. Therefore, it stands to reason they knew rain was coming. Looking back, when they said they hoped to”squeeze them in” it was clear they didn’t intend to take these girls up.
A reputable business would’ve explained that rain is moving in and let them decide if they want to stay or come back another time BEFORE they paid the non refundable fee. Here are the optics of the situation- you took advantage of two young girls who had never done this before seeing an opportunity to keep nearly $1,000 for doing nothing, when you knew all along there was more than like.y no chance of diving that day. And the fact that the owners won’t return our calls tells me they know it too and this is part of their business model.
