Good insight into Nubian civilisation
努比亚博物馆的点评
点评：Situated on the edge of town, this museum charts the Nubian Civilisation from pre-history through to modern times. Viewing follows a set route chronologically. There are some superb examples of 4500BC earthenware pottery making the point that the Nubians had quite an advanced civilisation well before the onset of Egyptian Dynasties. The relationship with Egypt is covered in great detail both its ups and downs and there are some striking exhibits as you walk round. The end of the walk focuses on social history of the Nubian people. Good descriptions in English makes the route easy to follow.
The one negative point is that lighting is quite poor in places which can detract from reading some of the more detailed explanations.
There are extensive gardens outside but sadly these are currently closed for renovation. We did not see any work taking place at the time of our visit.
