点评：This was one of my best places to visit in Gwalior. The place is a holy place for the Jain community so dress conservatively. Avoid bringing unnecessary items with you as they will not be allowed on the hill and will need to be deposited at the bottom of the hill. You need to walk up the hill with bare feet so be prepared for that. It's a short hike but the ground can get hot in the summers so plan your trip timing appropriately. Preferably in the morning before say 11.00 AM. I went around 12.00 PM but was so engrossed in the beauty of the place that I could not care for the hot ground. If you are interested in history and spirituality then the visit will take atleast 2 to 3 hours. The only sad part of the visit was that almost all the statues specifically the faces had seen lot of destruction. Nevertheless it was still stunning. The statues of the Jain gods were huge and only one of them was still completely intact and a priest was offering prayers at that statue which I was very lucky to be able to attend and get blessed with. The place can be difficult for old people and young children to navigate with its rocky uneven paths. The government is trying to restore the faces of some of the statues to give them their former glory. The initiative is good but I felt that we might never achieve the detailing and craftsmanship of our ancestors. Must visit for anyone visiting Gwalior.
