An important note for people arriving by Cruise Ship

点评：I arrived at Lifou on a Cruise Ship. An important point to note is all the times given on the ship are in 'Ship Time' not Local Time. The ship I was travelling on did not change it's clocks from Sydney Time, which was our departure point. Fortunately for me Sydney was in Daylight Savings time which is the same as Lifou Local Time. If your ship departs from Brisbane, or Sydney during the winter months, you may miss the trip by an hour. Check arrival times with your Cruise Company and clarify if the timings they give you are in Local Time or Ship Time. Reading some of the reviews below, I feel like this might have been the problem.
Otherwise, the diving was absolutely spectacular. Amazing visibility, maybe 40 metres. Incredible structures with caves and swim-throughs to explore. And so much colour and life. The staff were very friendly. Of course, they mostly spoke French but Jeff also speaks English. Yes they do take a couple of days to answer emails, but if you're planning ahead and organised this shouldn't be a problem. Having said that, they were very good at keeping me updated about whether there were enough people for the booking to go ahead, and weather affecting the trip.
