点评:We had a very laid back Gypsy experience with Polly, Ruth (our groom) and the brilliant Ned. We loved the slow pace of life and there is no question the horses welfare is absolutely top of any decisions made. Because our stay was during a heatwave we skipped the lunchtime halts to ensure we moved through the lanes at the coolest part of the day. Walking Ned (the two kids took turns to drive) was an absolute dream, he's such a cheeky character he knows exactly where the apple trees are and he practically ran through the gate at the mid way camp to get to the lush grass.
When we lit the fire Ned made his presence known and eyeballed the marshmallows with great persistence. The little stream is fun to paddle in, but careful not to let your flip flops float away! On Sunday morning we let Ned into our field and he came to say hello while we were all still in our PJs and sleeping bags.
So relaxed now after 2 wild days, I'm not sure how I will get used to normal life again. I will remember this weekend always and strongly suspect I'll be back to see Ned and his friends next summer.
