Old Alexandra Bridge is closed summer 2022

点评：The old bridge looks very cool from photos, but as we discovered when we visited, this historic structure unfortunately is temporarily closed for restoration work this summer (2022). An official notice reads:
“May 3, 2022
“The Old Alexandra Bridge and access trails are closed
“Signage is in place to notify the public that access is restricted and prohibited. The closure is for public safety due to the Old Alexandra Bridge Conservation Pilot Project. Please obey signs and do not enter area.
“This closure is temporary until the project is completed. Closure begins Monday, April 25, 2022 and is expected to last until September 30, 2022. Your cooperation in ensuring your safety is appreciated. All signage and trail closures will be removed as soon as operations are complete.”
If we’re ever back in lower B.C., we’ll make a return visit!
