Famous garden in a beautiful village

点评：Very attractive garden wrapped around a beautiful stone brewhouse, now repurposed to house the facilities, and a tea room with a wide range of very good locally baked cakes
The riot of colour that were the spring bulbs was just ending but the daffodils were splendid and the garden design, making full use of limited space and local stone, was technically very impressive. There is a huge range of plants to purchase, produced in their own nursery.
A black cat, Jess, helped us navigate the sinuous paths and is quite a regular visitor, as we would be, if we didn't live in Hertfordshire. The owner and management were exceptionally helpful and friendly and this is a fine garden, full of history because of Margery Fish, and well worth seeking out in a beautiful part of the world. It is only ten minutes from the A303 and two miles from the NT Barrington Court.
