Over-hyped and very dangerous - avoid in 2025

点评：Even though many travel blogs recommend this spot, as of May 2025, I found the area to be very unsafe and not as described in pictures (there's no river or water). There is no river as a lot of travel blog reclaim, and the rocks are extremely slippery and difficult to navigate — to the point where a fall could lead to serious injury (one of my companions did fall and hit her head against the rocks because the tiny rocks were clearly not cleaned to ensure safe hiking). This area requires professional-level hiking and climbing equipment. The ropes that have been left there appear to be very worn and were not reliable for use; attempting to use them caused more harm than good.
There were also signs that the area is not supervised or maintained — including the presence of deceased animals that had clearly been there for a long time (for weeks laying around). It was unsettling and confirmed that no regular checks are being carried out.
Please note: around 90% of the route involves scrambling or climbing over large rocks, making it extremely dangerous for the average hiker. If you slip or get injured, there is no available help, and access to emergency services would be nearly impossible from this location (they need to call for helicopter because nearest town is 40min away by car)
My suggestion: walk to the beginning of the gorge to enjoy the views of gorge, but turn back before attempting to climb further. There is nothing more to see beyond that point, and the risk outweighs the reward. Unfortunately, this location feels very over-hyped and does not match the experience shown online. Don't believe the traveling blogs and don't go.
