Decent, but not the best snorkel spot...

点评：Being an experienced snorkeler and having heard how great this place was, I was really looking forward to it. There are some good things and bad things about it.
First, the good. There is a large variety of fish here and for the most part the water is clear. The corals look pretty healthy.
Now the bad. There is a pretty good current here, so it is difficult to stop and look at things in a lot of areas - although you can find nooks and crannies where it's okay. forget going upstream. A lot of the corals are shallow, and so like other people have commented on, it is very easy to get scraped up. Also, because there can be a lot of people here, the water does get stirred up with sand. I would suggest if you can, to go early before it gets busier. As we were on a tour (which really, we just wanted to be taken out there and picked up later, but that didn't happen...) we were there late in the morning and for a limited amount of time.
Another problem here is the invasive weeds, which are pretty bad here. I understand that from the boat captain that all the captains get together and clear them out once a year or so, which is great. I wish there was a way just to get rid of the weeds.
So that having all been said, I believe there are probably better spots to snorkel, but it is worth trying it out at least.
