A Great Time at the Backyard

点评：After walking the KVR to see Alice, the T-Rex, the five of us and our two little dogs headed for the Backyard at the Cannery Restaurant. As an outside venue, your furry friend is welcomed there. A number of diners brought their pets to enjoy the sunshine and the company of their owners as well as other dogs. We watched a member of the wait staff bring a fresh bowl of water for a customer’s pet. We were seated at a long picnic table under a large umbrella that provided shade from the bright sun. After studying the menu, we ordered our beverages that included a Ratler and a Raspberry Sunblink Berry Sour. Our food orders consisted of a huge basket of nachos with two types of sauce, a vegetable platter that included celery, carrots, pea pods, and tomatoes with a jalapeño dip plus crinkle cut French fries. We spent an enjoyable afternoon chatting and eating. Our dogs also enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. We will definitely return as the Backyard is the place to go for great food and drink as well a welcoming environment for our furry companions.
