Fluid Adventures Panama的点评
点评：First class experience from start to finish. Michael and his team did a great job. Highly recommended if you are paddling to Coiba National Park.
We are experienced paddlers (have been guides for close to 40 years), so our expectations were high.
The booking process was easy and the follow up information regarding trip itinerary and suggested packing list was appreciated. They reflect the climate in Panama and general tropical paddling needs.
We arrived at Fluid's shop which is right on the beach in Santa Catalina - great location - on departure day to meet our guide (Matt) who was superb - especially at preparing some remarkable meals. Matt even had the morning coffee ready before 7:00 am! Fluid's gear (kayaks, tents, etc) was excellent, especially considering it was the end of the season. Chino (boat captain who never stopped smiling) had us off in good time. The 90 minute trip to Coiba was delightful - beautiful coastline.
We arrived at the campsite on Coiba to see alligator tracks going up from the beach - very cool. The beach site was good for beach walking, swimming, snorkelling and tenting. Coiba is a great place to paddle given it's pristine environment. Matt toured us to an assortment of beaches, mangrove rivers and open ocean surf. We stopped regularly for snorkel breaks (the reefs were in very good shape). The pace was thoughtful and reflected the skill level of the group.
Mike's team also revised our itinerary to accommodate a trip to what remained of the penal colony on Coiba. This was a highlight. More evidence of their ability and interest to modify experiences to suit the wishes of clients.
In hindsight we should have done the 5 day trip (we did the 3 days version) to allow for more time to take in this remarkable place. Next time. Thanks for an excellent experience Mike. It was a highlight of our time in Panama.
