Act2PV Theater & Piano Bar的点评
点评：Great venue with 3 differently sized and styled theatres. We went to see the Michael Jackson tribute, and it was great. On arrival, we went to the “Ovations” room, which has a full bar, and there was a classical guitarist playing. He was very good, and one of the songs he played was “Samba Pa Ti” by Carlos Santana. I videoed him playing, and it’s one of the best variations I have ever heard. He played many different genres of music, and all of them were very good.
When the time came for the concert to begin, we chose our seats (first come, first served). Although it wasn’t very busy, it looked like there wasn’t a “bad” seat in the house. The seats are comfortable and have drinks holders.
The concert was fabulous! The main artist was very good and genuinely seemed to want everyone to have a good time. During the performance, she chatted with the audience at various times, and although she seemed a little nervous at times, that made her more genuine. Her renditions of the songs was very good, and her choreography was good too, as was that of her dancing partners.
The band was made up of five artists (drums, keyboards, electric guitar, bass guitar, and trumpet), and every one of them played really well, providing a very good interpretation of the songs. I have to admit being awestruck at the bassist, who played so “fluidly” and, to me, was the “glue” holding the band together. Having said that, all of the artists were good, with each having short solo spots that highlighted their excellent playing abilities.
And lastly, the hosts and bar staff made great efforts to ensure everyone was looked after. An excellent night out!
