A superb lunch, followed by disappointment, but saved by great customer service

点评：We had booked a round here online and well in advance, and received an email confirmation of the booking, but were surprised when we checked in to be told that our reservation did not exist and that the course was fully booked. We asked the pro shop staff to have the "manager" call us. Within a couple of hours I got a call from Simon, who asked for confirmation of our booked, and promised to look into the matter. He did that. It turned out that the error was that of the booking website. Simon made good by offering us compensation that was fair, and even generous. What was notable was not the compensation itself, but that someone would look into the problem and deal with it promptly, without excuses. A good example of great customer service.
Unfortunately, we did not get to experience the course that day, but we did have lunch prior to learning that we could not play. Purcell's arrangement with Biscuit made the lunch alone worth the visit to Purcell.
