The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining, and they make you feel like a welcomed guest rather than just another customer.
I really enjoyed the historical storytelling they share during transportation--it adds so much character and local flavor to the adventure. You can tell they truly love what they do and take pride in creating an experience that goes far beyond simply renting a canoe or kayak.
Once you're on the river, you're surrounded by stunning scenery, abundant wildlife, and countless opportunities for peaceful moments and unforgettable memories. Every trip feels like a new adventure- the St Croix never disappoints. The logistics are effortless, with smooth and convenient shuttle service, drop-offf, and pickup. After your paddle, they bring you back to your vehicle immediately- they always say, "We wait for you, you don't wait for us." How thoughtful.
I've paddled with Riverwood multiple times each year, and they continue to exceed my expectations every time. Supporting a family-run business this passionate and personable is an easy choice. I wouldn't consider using any other outfitter.
