点评:One month after our visit to Crete, the thing I share about the most is this cooking class. We visited many areas of the island, explored historic places, and ate good local food. But this cooking class, and learning from Eleni, was the most special, joyful, and authentic cultural experience. (And the BEST food we had on Crete.) Eleni and her mama welcomed us to their family farm for hours. Generous amounts of olive oil—sourced from their groves that go back 100 years—plus local ingredients went into each delicious dish. We prepared and enjoyed our dishes on the tranquil outside patio, paired with Eleni's family wine and raki (harvested from the grape vines on site). After the class, my heart and my belly were full. Eleni shared all the recipes for us to make at home. I would go back in a heartbeat.
