Good, family safe spot for an end of season swim.

点评：Visited on an unseasonably hot, late September week-day with my ten year old. We shared the beach with a couple of other families and had a fun afternoon swimming in the St Lawrence River.
They've clearly revamped the facilities recently which were excellent (refreshments bar was closed- understandable given how quiet it was out of peak season). The ranger we encountered was helpful and made us feel welcome. The car park shut at 4 at this time of year.
The beach looked clean- although we didn't use that facility- we stayed below the barrier rocks by the waters edge. I was tempted to go to the smaller, more natural looking bay which had a few trees for shelter from the sun, but we opted to stick with a bit of human company.
From the main beach the sandy river bed dropped away very gradually- deep enough to swim but ten yr old was never out of his depth and there was no noticeable current to worry about.
All in all it was a good spot to dip and cool off from the heat of the day.
