Memorable Half-Day Escape to Wasini Island

点评：We went on a half-day excursion to Wasini Island from Swahili Beach Resort, and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! It takes about an hour’s drive to reach the departure point, followed by another hour on a boat to the island and the marine park.
The boat ride itself is beautiful, and once you arrive, the clear, turquoise water instantly makes you want to dive in. We went scuba diving, and it was absolutely worth it , so many colorful fish and vibrant corals all around!
The sandy beach on the island is lovely, though it can get quite busy with tourists, especially around midday. Still, it’s a great spot to relax and take in the views.
On our way back, we had an amazing dolphin-watching experience — we were lucky enough to see dozens of dolphins swimming and playing around the boat. Truly unforgettable!
Lunch on the island was average ; nothing fancy, just a simple local meal, but that didn’t take away from the overall experience.
Tip: If you book through a travel agent, make sure the package includes photos or videos taken in the sea. Having those underwater shots makes your memories truly unforgettable and lets you relive the beauty of the experience long after the trip!
