A lovely place to be with nature - don’t forget to visit the cafe!
Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre的点评
点评：Whilst holidaying in Northumberland we always ensure a trip to this nature reserve and it never disappoints.
There is a small fee to pay for parking, the car park does get busy. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. It is a pleasant walk around the lake and there are various hideouts dotted along the path. The hideouts are clean and have information inside to assist with the bird spotting. Throughout our time here we were followed by a Robin, chirping and singing away, which added to our lovely time here with nature.
The cafe does get busy and there was a 20 minute wait for food, which wasn’t apparent until we had ordered and were waiting. Ideally, customers should be told at the time of ordering to avoid inconvenience and cool pots of tea. The goats cheese and chutney panini was very tasty. The apple crumble scone was an alternative choice to the usual scone, it was nice albeit more cake like than scone.
We enjoyed our time here and will return. Thank you!
