丹吉尔城堡的点评
点评：The kasbah of Tangier is the fortified citadel and the highest point of the city’s medina.
Years ago it would have been home to the Sultan but now it is home to shops, riads, restaurants and cafes and is also considered to be a very fashionable residential area.
Entrance is gained through the imposing ‘dars’ the doorways.
There are car parking areas close-by.
Once inside you can meander your way along the many whitewashed streets. It has a beautiful vibe.
As you walk around the area it brings to some fabulous ocean views of the Atlantic and also some lovely terraces where people gather to just take in the view and enjoy the vibe. Here there are children playing and many opportunities to buy food and drink.
This area also has the graves of the Punic-Roman necropolis. The 96 bodies of the graves have long since been exhumed but the empty stone graves remain visible. The site of these graves also indicates the location of the old city gates of Tangier
