Hilltop space outside Agadir Kasbah with views over Agadir and it's Port
Kasbah Agadir Oufella的点评
点评：Thursday 23rd April we travelled up to the 16th century Kasbah and it's surrounding Oufella.
The Oufella is the hilltop area on the outside of the Kasbah walls. It is accessible on foot using the pathway, by road or by Cable Car, which we did.
There is no admission fee here and visitors are free to wander around and take in the views of Agadir, it's Port and surrounding areas.
Situated at 236 metres above sea-level there are some spectacular views. At the time of our it was a bit overcast but got some views along Agadir Beach and the Port.
Walking around the Oufella there was a bit of an outdoor market, Souk atmosphere about the place.
Adding to the spectacle there were a number of camels here and rides around the Oufella were available for a fee.
There were also a number street stalls set up and filled with a variety of souvenirs, there were no prices on anything, so bartering was the order of the day.
Additionally, there were guys that would try to latch on to you attempting to act as your guide, pointing out the obvious and expecting payment. Other guys had a monkey or a kid goat the would attempt to push into your arms to photograph. They were very adept at doing this and then demanding payment.
Another feature of the Oufella was the restored Kasbah entrance Gate, reviewed separately, this led to the remains of the Kasbah inside the walls.
The Kasbah and it's Oufella were virtually destroyed by an earthquake that hit the region on 29th February 1960.
It is not possible to walk all the way around the exterior of the Kasbah walls, we walked as far as we could.
We did ask our Tour Guide if the Kasbah, inside the walls was open, he told that it was. He added that there was an entry fee and it took an hour and we did not have that amount of time.
