点评：What a great time we had here! We spend about 3 hours here with some friends and really enjoyed searching through gravel looking for sapphires. Hailey? greeted us with a smile and lots of information about the mines and our choices in 3 differences bags of gravel we could purchase. The 3 options were the same size just from 3 different locations in the area. The Mother Load, where the most sapphires are being found was $100, the next $75, and finally one option for $50. After we made our selections, she helped us get started by giving us all the sorting supplies we needed and then teaching us what to do and what to look for. She was so friendly and knowledgeable! We were a party of 6 and we purchased a Mother Load Bag for $100 and a 2nd bag for $50. We found small sapphires in both, a few that could be faceted, as well as a garnet, and a number of pieces of hematite. In the Mother Load bag we found the biggest at 4.6 carat although a little rough still a nice piece. Haley? was so helpful through the entire process, especially at the end when she analyzed what we had found of value and not, and giving us even more information. I would definitely return. In fact we did and picked up a couple of bags to sort through at our leisure while traveling.
Go early if it’s hot, but don’t avoid sunny days. The sun is very helpful for finding sapphires. Bring water, sun screen, glasses if you need them and maybe even a magnifying glass.
