点评:We expected to only pop in and have a quick look at the Shirley Windmill. However, pleasantly surprised to arrive to a very well organised event. We were greeted with a friendly smile (I think it was Tony) and our tour guide Frank was very knowledgeable and informative (and also very patient with some unruly kids in our group). Each tour has 12 people approximately and run every 10 mins (depending on demand). There are 4 flights of stairs in the windmill which are very steep but there are very good strong handrails and do-able just slowly. Some were carrying babies/toddlers up and down. It was a very interesting hour. Just make sure you allocate 1-1.5 hours. There is some waiting due to tight spaces and waiting for the stairs to become free. There is a small cafe and even a toilet if needed. Parking immediately in the vicinity is off limits so need to park on side street further down and walk up. It was a nice way to spend 1-2 hours. Only recommendation would be to invest in a contactless/digital option for donation since most of us just do not carry cash with us. Must visit when in the area.
