The Great Tapestry of Scotland的点评
点评：As we were visiting The Scottish Borders for me to attend a craft workshop, we decided to make it a weekend trip. This means hubby has a day to spend “doing his own thing”. Having booked our accommodation/location very carefully I had not mentioned that I had discovered TGToS was nearby - my intention was that we would visit together on the following day before heading back home.
On workshop day as hubby suddenly asked what he could do for the day. I suggested hiring a bicycle or undertaking a guided walk. Plus a few historic sites and as a throwaway comment “there’s a tapestry exhibition opposite our accommodation”.
When collecting me 6 hours later he surprised me by saying he had spent the whole afternoon closely examining said Tapestry (with a magnifying glass - which are freely available to borrow for closer examination of the stitches} and that he was “blown away” by the experience!
So much so we visited together the following day!
The Great Tapestry of Scotland is definitely something which we would both recommend visiting more than once.
Also the staff were brilliant, helpful & knowledgeable. And the café food & drink well priced with yummy cake.
