If you get a Suite at Petco Park, skip the food and beverage package

点评：We got a suite for the Padres game, as part of a family event in the San Diego Area. We reserved the VIP Patio Suite for 12 people. It was a great view of the field, and a beautiful day. We had a semi- private space with 4 separate seats and a cushoined bench which basically allowed all 12 people to sit, get up, move around, converse. It was a fun day.
Downside was the lack of table space - had to sit drinks down on the floor if you were on the bench. They offered up to 4 more tickets which could be bought for the same space, but that definitely would have been uncomfortably crowded. And the food/beverage experience was decidedly below average. We all expect to pay inflated food and drink prices at any ballpark, that's a given, but in this case the quality was low (grocery store bagged chips and salsa straight from a can or jar) and the prices ridiculously high. ("Feeds 12 people" means 12 hotdogs, 12 cookies, etc.) If you reserve the suite, you are better off just having your guests go out into the concourse and wait in line for their food and drink rather than purchase a food and beverage package.
