Decent Beach.
Crane Beach的点评
点评：Me and my husband wanted to try a new beach this year so we came here. It was $35 ahead of time to reserve to park.
First off I read reviews before coming here and i saw you had to walk up a lot of stairs so I did nit bring my heavy cooler and just brought a big y bag for our lunch.
Second there were a lot of green eyed flies and we kept getting bit which I wasn't happy about even with bug spray.
The water was pretty cold but very clear. The beach got pretty busy around 12-1, we got here at 8am and it was dead.
The changing room/bathroom facility is huge and very nice. There's food options with picnic tables and a gift shop as well.
Driving through the town of Ipswich to go home though was terrible, the way people drive is crazy!!
The Crane mansion is right next door which was really cool to go explore for a first timer.
Overall it was an okay beach, I do not think we will come back since it was a two hour drive with 30 minutes of added on traffic on the way home at 3pm on a Wednesday, it is to be expected though since your near Boston. I would rather drive to Newburyport Beach/Plum Beach its the same and you have a cute town to explore after!
