Walmer Castle and Gardens的点评
点评：Bit of contrast to the austere Deal Castle, Walmer is more like a fortified manor house, but very interesting in different ways to Deal.
Firstl, if your arriving by train (us), its a bit of a hike from Walmer Station, so watch the weather and you need to know where your heading (you could of course use Google Maps, other navigational aids are available!!).
Helpful and pleasant staff at desk, good second hand book shop/cave, lots of interesting rooms to do with Churchill, Wellington and the Warden of Cinque Ports, but I think the best bit is the lovely gardens with ornamental beds, wild areas and some spectacular giant echiums must have been 12-15feet tall, a very different echium to the ones we grow on our allotment to attract the bees, really enjoyed the gardens on a lovely sunny day.
