Ash River Visitor Center的点评
点评：There's a small Visitor Center In the historic Mead Lodge, which is a log cabin.
There's a large parking lot. The bathrooms are in a separate building.
Inside there's a small gift shop. The 2 employees working were dressed like Voyageurs.
The display area is very small.
They do also have a small room were there's 2 films. The park film we saw the day before at Rainy Lake & a film about the Voyageurs. This film was made in like 1969, but it's good! It really shows you what these guys went through to make a buck.
If you look close at the running the rapids scene you can see the guy in the canoe holding the camera!
Out the back door is trail leading down to the lake. There's a boat dock & a nice viewing area of the Ash River.
We did 2 short trails on our way in:
The Beaver Pond overlook is a .3 mile there & back trail to an overlook of a marsh area. We were hoping to see a moose, but no luck! This supposed to be an easy trail, but there's stairs & the railing to see the view has a large slippery when wet rock.
My mobility challenged husband wasn't able to do the stairs.
The Forest Overlook Trail is a .3 mile loop through the woods. This is also supposed to be an "easy" trail, but with the mud/rocks/roots & some serious inclines I think on the high side of moderate. Both trails are buggy, so wear spray.

森林观景台小径是一条0.3英里长的环形小径，穿过树林。这条小径也应该很容易上，但因为有泥土/岩石/树根，以及一些陡峭的斜坡，我觉得难度有点高，但难度适中。两条小径上都有越野车，所以一定要喷洒喷雾。
很高兴我们来了！这里真是个好地方。
