Steppe Journeys的点评
点评：Odil took one of his tours and modified it for our needs; including the Ayazkala ruins near Khiva and Shahrisabz (as an Samarkand extenstion). Our drive-cum-guide, Botir was great and provided a calibrated balance of explaining the history and Uzbek culture depending on our tolerance - some guides we saw were simply rattling away historical facts without adjusting their style of presenting the whole Uzbekistan experience. There was a mix up with another city guide in Khiva; which left some lack of clarity on Day 2, and a few small communications issues between 'HQ' and our guide, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with a few phone calls and messages. Hotels chosen had excellent location and great access to eateries. I have to echo another reviewer here who suggested working in time for a lunch stop and then a wind up of the touring acitivites afterwards in the mid afternoon would be a great thing. On several days, we eventually had lunch very late and that was less than ideal. Other than these small matters, the whole trip was put together well; including our last day in Tashkent with Bek. I would recommend Steppe Journeys whole heartedly for their affordability, quality of services and overall experience.
