£20 admin fee for amending a booking which took 60 seconds?!

点评：I have visited Moddershall oaks several times in recent years for spa days and overnight stays with friends and family and always had a great experience. Unfortunately i had a different experience today. I had used gift vouchers to book an afternoon spa for myself and my mum but realised that i had got the dates wrong. I called back within 7 days to amend the date (the booking was 7 weeks away) to be informed that there would be a £20 admin fee!! £20 for changing a date on the system which took less than 60 seconds?! The voucher had 4 months left on it to book and the booking was 7 weeks away! I was told by the person on the phone that they would have given this information on the call at the time of booking (this hadn’t happened) and that they could ‘listen to the recording of the call to check!’ So rude and unexpected! They returned my call after listening to the recording of the original call (very insulting) to inform me that in fact, I hadn’t been given that information on the call at the time of booking.
Whilst i appreciate T&C’s need to be in place so that people aren’t calling all the time to make changes and amendments, calling once to change a booking which is 7 weeks away should not incur an admin fee in my opinion. So disappointed with how this was handled on the call also, very insulting.
