Restaurant: General Manager attitude and indifference to clientele

点评：We used to dine at the Nanaimo Golf course regularly, but not anymore. We recently reserved a table for lunch at the golf course. The place was fairly empty, maybe a total of a dozen people outside and inside. We had just received our drinks and had ordered our meal when an awful jackhammering noise resonated throughout the restaurant. An electrician was drilling through concrete at the hostess station not more than 25 feet from us. When we complained to the waitress and got the general manager to come to our table to complain of the loud grating noise, he never apologized and kept repeating that it had to be done, and had to be done at that very moment. Keep in mind the restaurant is not open for breakfast and the time between lunch and dinner the restaurant is mostly vacant. When we asked him why specifically it had to be done during lunch, his response was "it just has to". He suggested we go outside where the noise would be less. We were hesitant because of my friend's skin condition. In speaking to one of the waitresses about the lack of empathy and stiffness of the general manager. She pointed to all the empty tables and said " why do you think there are so many empty tables" . We will never go back nor will our other friends who experienced the same time of attitude previously. It's a shame...a great location and decent food.
