兰卡威国家地质公园的点评
点评：Key takeaways: 1. don't go there alone; 2. don't go there late; 3. don't go there when rain.
I originally wished to go to Sky Bridge by Grab. When came close the cloud is low and the driver convinced me that will be waste of time to go up, and I should go to Kilim instead, as it is the must-see for traveller in Langkawi. I agreed and regreted.
The time was around 4 o'clock, and it took 30 minutes to go from Skycab station to Kilim, at arrival I could only charter a boat myself for MYR350 (~USD83).
On the boat, little was told by the boatman, and the boat hardly shelter oneself from the hard rain. The signs are mainly in Malay, and places such as the Bat Cave actually has little to see. Same for the fish village, Adaman sea or Crocodile cave. For me, only the eagle place was memorable as I incidentally had my tele-lens and was able to take some photos for the eagles.
As there was not much to see, the boat tour actually took little over 1 hour (~4:45-5:55pm) which is very short for MYR350. But then, you won't want it to be longer because the place closed at 6, and when I leave all the shops around was closed and deserted. All other tourist had their own cars and there was no public transport. I tried and tried on Grab for 20 minutes and just no driver responded! I walked along the road and finally met another couple, they also relied on Grab, had waited for ~30 minutes and supposed a car was coming in 10 minutes :~-(
At last it took me 30+ minutes before a Grab picked me up.
