点评：I booked a scenic flight and accommodation with Discovery Parks at Wilpena Pound. The scenic flight was with Wrightsair, however only able to be booked through Wilpena Pound (discover Parks), We booked two rooms from 2/9/25 for two nights departing on Thursday 4th September 2025. The scenic flight was from Wilpena's airport over Lake Eyre on Wednesday 3rd September. On booking it was explained that due to weather and other the flight may be cancelled. This is where the lack of business integrity and fairness ceased from Discovery Parks. My accommodation with them was solely contingent on the scenic flight. They in their wisdom quoted their refund policy (ad nauseam) that included a penalty of one days accommodation of which in our case was $640.00 for cancellation of the accommodation. I argued that this was unfair and potentially unlawful as all bookings had to be done through them and if a cancellation was required, they would be cancelling not me, the refund should be in full. After having the first representative of Wilpena hang up on me and a long debate with another representative after I had rung back I received the concession that they would assess the situation on a case by case basis. I booked paying $4,722.12 which included a credit card fee of $42.12. This doesn't take into consideration that we were traveling from Brisbane to undertake this short holiday. This included Qantas flights to Adelaide return, car Hire, and accommodation in Adelaide on return to Adelaide prior to flying home. The scenic flight was cancelled after another round of debate they refunded in full. Is this the way to run a business? The refund should be policy in these situations and automatic. I will not stay with Discovery Parks ever. Great PR fellows.
