Great hike among the monkeys, even if a bit pricey
Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park的点评
点评:Our guided hike through Jozani Forest was wonderful. The park is home to two species of monkeys—blue ones (not their colour , only the name) and red colobus. Our guide was excellent in spotting the monkeys and helping us find good angles for photos. Given that the trees do not grow to great heights, you can get pretty close to the monkeys ( see our pictures). The second part of the visit is a hike along a boardwalk through the mangroves. Most mangrove growths are too dense to hike through, so this was a rather special occasion . And yes, it’s a bit pricey—12$ entrance, 20$ for the guide, and whatever the taxi may cost you. But it’s worth it. And you’re helping to fund a government service in a very beautiful, but quite poor, country. It’s money well spent.
