点评：I race at Daytona MK in their championships, both the Thursday Night Sprint League and the Sunday Superchamps main championship.
I thoroughly enjoy both of these offerings as an experienced driver. The championships are well run, with appointed championship co-ordinators overseeing the running of them. They also have two weight categories available in each, to help keep the competition closer in each class.
The events are well run, using a variety of track layouts across the season, and in the case of Superchamps two different race formats (heats racing, and a more traditional GP format involving qualifying and longer races).
What also is a great feature that sets it apart from many other rental championships is the marshalling and option of an appeals process for on track incidents.
If there is any contentious contact made and a driver wishes to contest the incident as they deem it unfair, footage from any GoPro cameras can be submitted as evidence towards a stewards decision.
In addition to this, the venue has multiple track cameras which record all the action, so race control can rewind and review incidents at the click of a button to ensure the racing is kept firm but fair.
As always, the staff there are so welcoming and friendly too to help make for a great atmosphere. If you’ve had some open race experience, moving up to competing these championships would be an excellent next step.
