Borderline scam with Leonard
Jamestown Walking Tours的点评
点评：I suspect this tour is *very* different depending on who runs it. We had Leonard, and it was borderline a scam. I know other people had Collins and enjoyed it, so it must be dependent on who you get.
1. Our tour ended in less than 45 minutes (it's advertised as 2 hours). When someone on the tour brought this up, Leonard asked for more money to continue to the Dutch side.
2. Very limited knowledge of Jamestown history. I tried to engage him multiple times on the history, and he could not produce more than one fact.
3. He was very difficult to understand.
In the end, I still would have paid the GHS 100: we got to walk through the various markets, meet some people, and Leonard is clearly a well-known local. But having expected a more historical tour with the chance to eat some local food, learn about Ga cultural traditions, go to the harbor, and visit a house (all of which are advertised), none of that happened. We just kind of walked around Jamestown.
When asked about this, Leonard said the tour was shorter because some people "do it with a cane" and are slow.
