点评:Such beautiful and special place! Gate is open at sunrise and there are already several birders there when the gate opens. There were several trails and a long boardwalk traversing several cells of water. There are several ecosystems: hammock, wetlands, lake, and cypress dome. There are so many birds and because the place is so large, even if there are many people, the walk is so peaceful. There's an eagle's nest with a pair of eagle, clusters of black bellied whistling duck, egrets, great blue heron, ibis, glossy ibis, little blue heron, tricolored heron, american coots, and so so many gallinules. Watching all of these wildlife enjoying themselves in such a serene place is so wonderful. Even better is learning about how the place uses nature to reclaim water and remove excess nutrients and phosphate from them. No shade, so bring water, wear your hats, and pace your walking. There are park bench throughout the trails. Wooded hiking trails have ankle deep water in some spots (this is during Central Florida flood), but berms are all dry.
