Ganton Golf Club的点评
点评：This was a golfing experience to saver.
This is a proper members golf club. The dining room and Vardon room require a jacket and tie so we didn't go in there but they looked "old School". The changing rooms were excellent and the clubhouse staff friendly. Drinks and lunch were very reasonable.
The pro shop staff and caddie master were friendly and welcoming. There was a stiff breeze when we played which made it a real test. The turf on the first and most tees would make a lot of courses greens look bad. Tight links style turf, plenty of gorse and numerous bunkers. Bunkered like Woodhall Spa's Hotchkin but so much better in condition and sand quality. Most have revetted faces and steps into them, they're that deep. The greens were not very fast but there are some serious breaks out there and we found some wicked pin positions.
The views on the course are spectacular and many a photo was taken
We were lucky enough to get a courtesy round because our course was hosting and England Golf event. Would I pay £195 to play there. I don't know , but it was worth the two hour drive. 8 over my handicap of 7 was not too shabby given the conditions and lack of course knowledge. If you get the chance it's seriously worth a visit.
