Disappointing, Unhygienic, Unsafe
The Belfry Golf Club的点评
点评：We chose The Belfry for a special weekend getaway, expecting a luxury stay with relaxation and use of their leisure facilities. However, we were extremely disappointed by the poor conditions we found.
From the moment we entered the pool area, we noticed dried blood on the main door, a clear sign it hadn’t been cleaned in some time. Inside, the floor was dirty and covered in debris, including food and even a piece of onion near the pool, which was unhygienic and made us feel sick. All the lounge beds were “reserved” with towels, ignoring hotel policy, and many were stained and filthy. The outdoor patio was hazardous, with loose and wobbly slabs — my partner injured his ankle after tripping on a raised tile (We informed the staff of this incident and they didn’t seem to care). There were children running around barefoot, adding to health and safety risks, and dirty tissues, glasses, and dishes were left scattered all around.
There were no members of staff present in the spa or pool area to check conditions, clear up mess, or enforce health and safety standards. We raised these issues directly with hotel staff afterwards, but the 20% discount we were offered fell far short of addressing the numerous problems we experienced. We chose The Belfry for a relaxing break, and instead we left feeling frustrated, stranded, and deeply disappointed.
We subsequently emailed The Belfry’s Customer Service team to raise all of these serious issues in detail, but they chose not to acknowledge or address any of them, which speaks volumes about their attitude toward health, safety, and customer satisfaction. Clearly, this hotel does not care about its guests’ experiences or well-being.
Please do not waste your money staying here unless you enjoy being in dirty, unhygienic, and hazardous surroundings. There are much better options elsewhere.
