Could not reach the spot for photographing sunset
灯塔的点评
点评：I reached the lighthouse at Akrotiri around 5.30 pm with the aim of photographing it from a height during sunset. I parked my car at the parking lot ( I think that it is the designated parking lot for the lighthouse). However, I could not find any way to the top of the hill to capture the sunset. The lady at the foodstall next to the above mentioned public lot told me that the way up to the top is private property that is fenced and so I need to hop across the fence and climb up at my own risk. So I decided to abort my effort. Even if I did decide to do the above, I was certain that walking downhill , over an unmarked path after sunset with my camera gear and tripod would have been perilous. I have read that there are some wine tasting tours which take you to some spots with a view of the lighthouse. I did not try them. I thought that I should share this information so that others thinking of a similar venture are aware. There might be other ways to the top but I am unaware of them.
