点评:There are several good explanations of how to get to El Chiflon from San Cristobal de las Casas by bus. I'm here to give a March 2024 update and fill in some of the details. Step one is get to the ADO/OCC bus terminal in San Cristobal by walking down Insurgentes - it will be on your left. Buy a ticket to Comitan there - the buses to there run pretty frequently and you probably don't need to purchase in advance. My ticket was 76 pesos and the bus was a half hour delayed in leaving because it was late arriving from the place it was coming from. The trip to Comitan took a little over two hours, There were bathrooms on the bus. When you get to Comitan, step two is to turn left out of the station and walk up the main street about three blocks to where all the colectivos (vans) depart. Look for it on the other side of the street. It's kind of a whole indoor/outdoor complex - the vans to Chiflon leave from inside the "big house." There were people there who you can ask which one goes to Chiflon. I looked like a tourist so they told me without me even asking. I was still a little unsure because the van said Socol, meaning the final destination was Socoltenango. Chiflon is a stop on the way. The trip will cost 40 pesos, which you pay to the driver after you arrive at your destination. The van will be crowded and will stop frequently along the way to take on and let off passengers. Chiflon is kind of a major stop so it would be hard for you to miss it - the van will cross over to the other side of the road where all the tuk tuks are waiting. You'll see a big sign for El Chiflon on the other side of the road, so you'll know you're at the right place. Step three is to get to the park. You could hire a tuk tuk there (I didn't), or you can cross the road and start walking. You'll pass some restaurants and a small hotel. I ate at one of the restaurants, which was very inexpensive. (There are also restaurants inside the park, so it's not your last chance to eat.) Eventually you'll get to the place where they take your money to get into the park. It was 80 pesos and they give you a wristband, which you put on yourself. Keep walking to get to the park entrance. They'll scan your wristband there and let you in. The park has everything - food, drink, bathrooms, picnic tables, changing rooms for swimmers, and the path is totally paved. At first you'll walk along the river, and then you'll begin climbing steps to see the waterfalls. Be aware that it will be much hotter there than in San Cristobal. Climbing a ton of steps in 95 degree weather can be a challenge. Don't do it without water. In that kind of weather, I wish I had brought a bathing suit to swim in the river. One of the little shops inside the park sells them. The walk up all those steps is worth it in the end - the river and the falls are spectacular. (There's a walkway on the other side of the river too, but I didn't see anyone on it or any way to get to it.) The big bridal falls are the main attraction, and I forgot that you can keep going up to see two more falls. Step four is getting back to San Cristobal by basically retracing your steps. Wait for the colectivo where it dropped you off. Back in Comitan, don't be alarmed when it passes the place where you got on - it will make a U turn and drop you off on the other side of the street (the side the OCC/ADO bus station is on). The fare back to San Cristobal is the same. I think the last bus back is around 8:30 at night.
