Disappointing first time at the races

点评：We got to the main entrance ready to pay, we were early so we waited for the doors to open at 12:00. We hadn’t been to this race course before (NOT ALL RACE GOERS ARE REGULARS) when the doors opened we tried to ask a couple of the members of staff a couple of questions but they didn’t have a clue and just looked at each other and said just go and pay and ask when inside, so we went through and paid but then the ticket we had received wouldn’t scan so the member of staff couldn’t let us go through (this is when the heavens opened and we were getting soaked) some one then came and said don’t scan the tickets just let them through it was very disorganised. Not a good start to our day out.
We managed to get seats in a bar but WOW the prices at the bar were extortionate. I had wine £32 a bottle, very expensive for a basic bottle of wine. They ran out of draft lager and Guinness in the bar we were in after the first race at 2:00, also Card only no cash. You weren’t allowed to take your own drinks into the race course but we saw plenty of people with their own bottles of wine and cans of beer! Turned out not to be the day we were looking forward to.

我们好不容易在一家酒吧找到了座位，但是哇，酒吧的价格贵得离谱。我点的酒每瓶 32 英镑，对于一瓶普通的酒来说太贵了。我们两点第一场比赛结束后去的酒吧，生啤和吉尼斯啤酒都卖光了，而且只收银行卡，不收现金。赛马场不允许自带酒水，但我们看到很多人自带葡萄酒和罐装啤酒！结果，我们并没有期待那一天。
