What a spectacular surprise.

点评：This place exceeds expectations at an unknown level. Of course we read the reviews and the criticisms. But they do not give justice to the actual situation. The hotel has a memorial for the victims of the time when it was a prisoner island. It creates jobs for the communities of these victims and even the children of the victims support the safeguarding of this historical monument.
The place is spectacular. The architect who renovated the fortress is a genius. The service of the staff was phenomenal, the fresh fish at the seaside restaurant was amazing and even the pancakes at breakfast were the best we had in a long time. We have rarely seen a more beautiful sunset.
The pictures on the website of the hotel do not give credit to how beautiful it is. You have to make a choice regarding the room you book. The rooms with the frescos are the highlight but a bit dark. The rooms with a terrace were our choice.
