点评:Boat rental practices are alittle sus. When renting a boat you used to walk the boat and document what/where damage with the marina employee. Now they take pics of everything and then upload those pics to your contract. Theres nothing to prevent old stock photos on file from being used and loading to your contract. I say this because when the marina employee took pictures he was on the port side of boat yet theres a starboard side picture of the engine. At our first stop I pulled the engine out of the water and noticed the skeg had gouges which we didnt cause. Obviously not caused by us... but the online 'contract' picture showed nothing from that angle. I made sure to take a picture at the time i noticed it. In the future I would take pictures of literally everything next time - ESPECIALLY the engine / prop / and lower unit.
If youve spent any amount of time on SML then youve seen the people that rented boats that have zero business renting boats. People slamming into docks under pwr - well these are the same people that marinas rent boats unfortunately have to deal with. So understand marinas wanted to be compensated for damage. We rented a large pontoon that was basically brand new.
The boat in/out process was otherwise a very good experience.
