点评:While recently staying in Ballarat we picked a good day to do the walk around the lake, no wind and no rain, cool but we soon warmed up walking.
It is a nice walk on a good flat surface, plenty of interesting things to see, you see some nice homes built across the road that goes around the lake.
You go past the Botanical Gardens and the site where all the 1956 Olympic notices are erected, the lake was used during the Melbourne 1956 Olympics for some of the water events.
Lots of black swans and other water bird live here.
There are a lot of grand trees, mostly deciduous so bare this time of year..
Plenty of garden beds to admire, plenty of seating if you need a break and plenty of toilet facilities.
It is about a 6 kilometres walk, we took a few photos, didn’t rush, took 90 minutes.
Very enjoyable, worth doing.
