点评：Mungo is truly amazing. We stayed at Maincamp and loved the setup there. Plenty of space between sites, fire pits, some sites have tables and shelters. Sites are not allocated so find one that suits you.Pit loos are at the campsite.Showers are at the visitor center and they were some of the best showers we have come across. Pit toilets pretty civilised and we saw a ranger clean them and renew loo roll. Sunset tours are the best in our opinion. And tours are one of the only ways to get to walk up close to the formations.
Currently May 2025 not all of the 70 K loop is open. But still plenty to see. One thing i think needs addressing is the need for a 4WD vehicle. Much of the road internally is very corrugated and if you want to visit in a campervan or motorhome then it is not all that suitable. We took our van out but drove pretty slowly to avoid shaking everything loose. Another word of warning is take the roads to Mungo seriously. Check all roads are open either from Balranald or Mildura. As the road can deteriorate quickly after rain. 50k's of dirt from Balranald side and I think 32 from Mildura. However, I heard the Mildura stretch is worse because it is the most popular.But others said Mildura was fine??? And there is not always mobile reception on the road from Balranald. However once you get near the park there is actually reasonable 4G.
