Excellent free museum about history of rockets and their role in science
NASA Wallops Visitor Center的点评
点评:This is a fun and very informative small museum...and its free. They have some excellent interpretive displays about rockets, weather, and space. The presentation on the evolution of rockets and their vital roles in science was very informative and the rotating globe theater presentations were entertaining to all ages. When we were there, they had a special hands on event for the kids on rocket making and launching and when we went up to the observation platform we were treated to watching a Navy command and control aircraft doing touch and gos. Negative is that museum hours are limited (Thurs to Sun from 10-3), but if you are in the area and can plan to go, you will easily spend 45 min to 2 hours. They also have viewing for rocket launches from Wallops Island and provide information so you can plan in advance if you want to see one live.
