We did the ‘easy’ route to these Amazing Views

点评：The views at the top are amazing since they allow you to see the whole surrounding islands and sea very clearly. Unless you have a full day to spare I would skip the longer hike from Filoti. Instead drive up to the Saint Marina Holy Chapel and park (DO NOT follow the websites that confusingly tell you to go to Agia Marina which takes you to the wrong church). The hike starts to the right of the church. You will pass through a couple of iron gates.at some point early in the trail you will see a wall with an opening in that looks like a path. Ignore this and continue straight to stay on the correct path. Periodically there are signs showing the trail, but mostly you’ll be looking for red paint and R2 as well as piles of rocks. There are lots of loose rocks and some walking over pretty rough terrain for a bit. There is nothing close to be technical about the trail. If you have some conditioning and no mobility issues it is very manageable. It is not easy though just easier than the longer hike. It took us slightly under an hour to climb up and 45 minutes down. We ran into sheep and lots of goats on the way back down. In summer start early if you can. You will not see the Zeus Cave if you climb this way but that is no big loss.
