Fun for family, not so much for animals inside

点评：There are a lot of animals to see for basically being in someone’s large backyard. As has been mentioned previously, the cattle seemed to have ample space but the smaller animals and the carnivores were in dismally small dirt enclosures with little to no enrichment for them. The ponies had areas on their hooves where the flies had burrowed into their flesh and created holes (fly strike). Several sheep had not been shorn in some time, and in the middle of July, looked miserable.
I will say that the staff and owner were very friendly towards visitors, but if they’re going to charge admission to see animals and make a living from them, they need to take better care of the animals and provide them adequate space. Otherwise it’s just a case of profiting from animal cruelty.
I usually hesitate to go to privately owned “zoos” for this reason. I will not go again because I do not want to subsidize maltreatment of animals.
