点评:LTD was great, and what makes it great as with so many things is the people. Our captain Nico was tremendous, patient, diligent and fun. I will be booking another outing perhaps floatilla with LTD. I did 101 — 103,104 and 114 it’s an aggressive and at times exhausting path, but I’m also 54 and slightly out of shape. I was there in Jan. of 2025. I was in Grenada and we did J 80s then the 42 foot Cat: A few things to note-
1.) Use the automated immigration machine when Grenada it skips the line
2.) Download and set-up Haylup prior to arrival (Uber for Greneda) it’s expensive by island standards but highly reliable and books to credit card. Taxis are a bit less expensive and the bus is like 2.50 EC, but you might be in a hurry getting to the port or between works.
3.) I checked a bag because of the bug spray… I never used it and regretted checking the bag especially going home…
4.) the Cabins on the cat are quite large especially for one person, there’s a pull out draw at the bottom of the bed, that can accommodate all your clothes… there’s hooks and even a closet.
I bought more than suggested and I was happy because you won’t have time or a any real way to do laundry aboard, Also even your clothes on the lifeline don’t dry because of the humidity and occasional passing shower.
5.) Study the points of sale, use the ASA App, but also try to figure out each day which way the wind is coming from outside your house, tie little tells and practice that.
6.) Sunblock is essential you’re in the sun a lot.
7.) Most of the people I spoke to experience like a brain fog… 45-70 - something happens and process information while trying to drive and perhaps jet lag or the heat, but I found myself struggling with basics concepts and steps… Only happened to me once before so try to get the basics of raising the main, and unfurling the Jib prior to your trip.
8.) Call your bank and make sure they allow your ATM to work outside the US-
9.) know the basic knots — tie a few around your house and make sure your tie and untie them a few times a week
10.) Tell work you are outside coverage, it’s really not true but your busy a lot of the time, and having a phone in your hands or on deck is not helpful, and really is just about all the beautiful pictures.
Book with LTD.. Over tip your Captain and have a blast…
