10 day sail was perfect for ASA training 103, 104 & 114 with time for fun too!

点评：We were looking for the right place to mix some ASA training with a holiday for a while. A few years ago, a friend had done the same thing and went with LTD Sailing and had a great time with them. This recommendation was really important to us since this is a big expense with limited time off from work. We were able to save a bit by going just at the end of the high season too which was nice.
I am so glad we chose to do the 10 day version of this trip! We saw 8 different anchorages, great wind for sailing, some really fun snorkeling (Tobago Cays turtles!), beach restaurants mixed in with nights on the vessel. The boat was a lovely 45' Lagoon catamaran. The training was fantastic, the instructor/captain Miles was patient, helpful and shared his expertise in a fun and encouraging environment where everyone was able to participate. The crew at the dock who prepared the boat at departure and at arrival were all very friendly and did a great job too, I am sure far more work than what we saw went into setting this all up.
Doing 10 days instead of 7 meant we had a little more time for recreation and study to reduce the pressure of all that study material. Pro tip: STUDY ALL THE BOOKS before you get there (including the Glossary). It'd have been far too much to keep up, even with the extra days if we hadn't prepared in advance.
There were just four students (two couples) and by the end of it we passed our ASA 103, 104 and 114 courses with confidence. I expect this is just the beginning of our sailing journey and I'm so glad that LTD Sailing provided such a good experience for us that makes it easy to imagine doing more in the future.
